Explosions reported in Italy and Germany causing fatalities and injuries

Two separate explosion incidents have been reported in Italy and Germany.

In Calabria, southern Italy, a fatal explosion occurred on August 25 at a tourist accommodation in Mileto. The blast killed a 44-year-old Slovenian man and his 48-year-old wife. Their 10-year-old daughter, who suffered severe burns and was hospitalized in Bari, has since passed away. The Municipality of Ravne na Koroškem, the family's home, has declared three days of mourning.

In Augsburg, Germany, an explosion at the main railway station injured two Ukrainian citizens, a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old male, both of whom sustained minor injuries. The blast occurred in a passage near a bank, causing damage to windows and leading police to cordoned off the building and suspend rail traffic after discovering a suspicious object. Bavarian state criminal police are investigating the cause, amid broader concerns regarding potential sabotage following recent incidents at a substation near Cologne and a power plant in Brandenburg.
