Explosive attack targets business in Coronel Fabriciano

Two individuals on a motorcycle attacked a commercial establishment in Coronel Fabriciano, Minas Gerais, on Saturday afternoon. According to the Military Police, the passenger used a sledgehammer to break a glass door before throwing two explosive devices into the store.

One device detonated immediately, while the second remained intact. Because the business was closed at the time of the attack, no injuries were reported. The Special Police Operations Battalion (BOPE) arrived at the scene to inspect the remaining device, which was identified as an improvised hand grenade. Following safety protocols, specialized teams performed a controlled detonation of the unexploded device.

Police have isolated the area and technical experts have conducted forensic work. Authorities are currently working to identify the suspects and determine the motive behind the attack.
