Expo Cibao 2026 concludes with RD$200 million in estimated business

The 39th edition of Expo Cibao in Santiago, Dominican Republic, has concluded, with preliminary estimates suggesting approximately RD$200 million in business was generated during the five-day event. Held under the theme ‘Unidos por la Competitividad’, the fair brought together entrepreneurs, companies, and consumers to foster regional economic development.

President Luis Abinader attended the event, noting a 20% increase in both visitors and commercial operations compared to previous iterations. He emphasized the fair's role as a strategic platform for promoting entrepreneurship and strengthening the productive capacity of the Cibao region.

Corporate activities included a traditional cocktail hosted by Claro Dominicana, which gathered industrial leaders to discuss technological investment and digital transformation. Additionally, Fuente de Luz Memorial Service received the ‘Módulo Destacado’ award for its interactive exhibition. The organization has already begun preparations for the landmark 40th anniversary of Expo Cibao, scheduled for October 2027.
