The inaugural Expo Concepción has commenced at the Nanawa Exhibition Grounds in Paraguay, with projected economic activity exceeding USD 13.5 million. Organized by the Asociación Rural del Paraguay (ARP) Concepción regional branch, the seven-day event features commercial, industrial, and livestock activities.
Key economic drivers include a Nelore cattle carcass competition expected to generate over USD 4.5 million, livestock fairs projected at USD 2 million, agricultural and forestry machinery sales estimated above USD 3 million, and vehicle sales potentially surpassing USD 4 million. The event is also expected to boost the local microeconomy, including small businesses and the gastronomic sector.
In terms of employment, more than 500 people are directly involved in the event. The Concepción Departmental Government has also participated by hosting an institutional stand to provide information to the public. The first day of the exhibition saw high attendance and featured live musical performances.
