Brazil regional initiatives focus on entrepreneurship and community development
Various regional initiatives across Brazil are focusing on economic development, entrepreneurship, and community services. In Maranhão, the Feira do Empreendedor 2026 in São Luís is highlighting female leadership through the Sebrae Mulher de Negócios award and launching the 'Startup Reports,' a study of 470 local startups.
In Pará, the 'Conexão de Saberes' project, a partnership between Embrapa and Vale, is working in the Marajó archipelago to promote sustainable production and food sovereignty. Other local efforts include a job fair and community service day in Rolândia, a professional training partnership between the Cruz Machado municipality and Senac, and a social thrift fair in Florianópolis to support local non-profits.
Cultural and gastronomic events are also active, such as the 'Aromas e Vinhos' festival in Recife and various community programming in Aracaju.
