Expo Vega Real 2026 wraps up with record sales and commercial deals in La Vega

The 30th edition of Expo Vega Real 2026, a multisectoral fair in La Vega, Dominican Republic, concluded with more than 150 companies and public institutions participating. Organised by the Cámara de Comercio y Producción de La Vega, the event recorded millions of pesos in transactions and a surge of commercial agreements across consumer goods, real estate, banking, livestock and automotive sectors.

The fair, dedicated to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation under Minister Kelvin Cruz, featured sports tournaments, a 5K Glow Runner race whose proceeds supported the Fundación Dios Me Hizo Bella for breast‑cancer‑survivor women, and a cultural performance by the Orquesta Juvenil del Colegio Eugenio María de Hostos. Vice‑President Raquel Peña inaugurated the event, while Chamber president Odil Morilla thanked participants and called for a provincial Government Council. The fair was led by Icelsa García, CEO of Heriberto Holding Group, who also hosted live media coverage.
