Brazil trade fairs report significant economic activity

Various major trade fairs and agricultural exhibitions in Brazil have reported significant economic activity and attendance.

The 49th Expointer in Esteio, Rio Grande do Sul, concluded with R$ 6.18 billion in business, a nearly 40% increase over the previous year. This growth was driven largely by the machinery and agricultural implements sector, which accounted for R$ 5.46 billion in transactions. Additionally, the Family Farming Pavilion at the event generated over R$ 14 million in sales.

In Feira de Santana, the 47th Expofeira opened with expectations to attract over 400,000 visitors. The event aims to strengthen the municipality's role as an agribusiness hub, following a previous edition that generated approximately R$ 30 million.

Other notable events include the Chocolate Festival in Ribeirão Pires, which saw an economic impact of up to R$ 19.86 million with 192,000 visitors, and the 38th SET EXPO in São Paulo, which attracted 33,500 people to discuss technology trends like AI and TV 3.0.
