ExpoNaval 2026 naval defence expo opens in Santiago, Chile

The ExpoNaval 2026 international defence and maritime security exhibition will be held from 1 to 3 December at Espacio Riesco in Santiago, Chile. The three‑day event will bring together navies, governments and leading industry firms to discuss the impact of recent conflicts, the integration of autonomous maritime systems, shipbuilding modernization and supply‑chain resilience.

Spain’s shipbuilder Navantia will present its experience and proposals for Chile’s National Continuous Shipbuilding Plan, including the lightweight frigate Alfa 3600, and will discuss financing tools, social‑benefit policies and local supplier development. Key speakers include Chilean Defence Minister Fernando Barros Tocornal and former UK Chief of Defence Staff Sir Antony David Radakin, who will offer a global perspective on naval strategy.

Organisers say the fair aims to foster dialogue between public and private sectors, accelerate technology transfer and strengthen regional maritime capabilities.
