Expressão Centro de Artes dance school competes in Mexico

The Expressão Centro de Artes dance school from Alta Floresta, Mato Grosso, is participating in the Universal Dance World Championship (UDWC) in Cancún, Mexico. The international competition, which features dance companies from across the Americas, runs from October 22 to October 25.

The delegation includes 10 dancers, four technical staff members, and 16 family members. The group is scheduled to perform during the second block of the grand final on Saturday, October 24. Producer Fernando Zílio noted that qualifying for the competition is the result of at least three years of regional and international festival participation.

Funding for the trip was provided through parliamentary support and investment from the Mato Grosso State Secretariat of Culture, Sport, and Leisure (Secel-MT). Additional costs for lodging, registration, and travel were covered by the Arte em Movimento Parents Association through local fundraising efforts and corporate sponsorships.
