Ex:Re, the alt-pop project of Elena Tonra, has released the new single “Am I Even Real?” accompanied by a live session video filmed at the 4AD studio in London. The track is part of the upcoming album Save As, scheduled for release on Friday, October 30.
Tonra, also known as the lead singer of Daughter, collaborated with producer Fabian Prynn to develop the track, which evolved from a slow improvisation into a faster-paced chorus. The upcoming album Save As features contributions from Josephine Stephenson on cello, Hinako Omori on synthesizers, Ben Reed on bass, and Jethro Fox on electric guitar.
The release follows previous singles “Sleep” and “Radio Station.” The Japanese edition of the album will include a bonus demo track, along with liner notes and translated lyrics.
