Extremadura court upholds prison sentence in child pornography case

The High Court of Justice of Extremadura has upheld a five-year prison sentence for a man convicted of distributing child pornography. The case originated in Plasencia after the National Police's Minor Protection Unit detected the exchange of illegal material through file-sharing networks.

During a search of the suspect's home, authorities seized two hard drives containing 276 files, including 241 images and 35 videos. The court confirmed the sentence, which also includes five years of loss of parental rights over his minor daughters, a ten-year ban from working with minors, and five years of supervised release following his prison term.
