Extremadura cryptocurrency transactions reach 6,400 with 1.5 million euro profit
Taxpayers in Extremadura, Spain, reported a significant increase in cryptocurrency transactions and profits for the 2024 fiscal year. According to recent data, the number of registered operations rose to 6,416, a sharp increase from 2,762 in 2023 and 1,182 in 2021.
Net capital gains reached a record high of over 1.5 million euros. While the total volume remains lower than traditional financial products like stocks and funds, the upward trend is evident. Of the total operations declared, 3,749 resulted in an increase in taxpayer wealth, totaling approximately three million euros in gains.
