Extremadura Day celebrations feature cultural events in Alcalá de Henares and Mérida

Extremaduran culture is being celebrated through various regional events. In Alcalá de Henares, the Centro Extremeño organized festivities for Extremadura Day 2026, featuring musical performances by groups such as Quintería de la Casa de Castilla-La Mancha and Semos Asina, alongside traditional dances and a communal meal.

In Mérida, the band Sanguijuelas del Guadiana performed at the Teatro Romano de Mérida. Following their participation in the Medals of Extremadura institutional ceremony, the group held a headline concert as part of the ‘Gira Verbena en Vena. Traca Final’ to conclude their ‘Revolá’ tour. These events are part of the broader programming for Extremadura Day.
