Extremadura Health Service expands BIEMEx psychological support

The Extremadura Health Service (SES) has expanded its BIEMEx (Bienestar Emocional de Extremadura) program, a free telemetric psychological support service, to the entire population of Extremadura. Previously limited to individuals between 10 and 30 years old, the service is now available to all residents regardless of age.

Designed to address emotional distress caused by factors such as work stress, academic pressure, or personal relationship issues, the program provides a direct entry point for help without requiring a referral from a family doctor. Professionals will assess whether a situation requires clinical intervention or if the user should be referred to specialized mental health networks.

Support is provided by psychologists through various channels, including telephone, email, chat, instant messaging, and video calls. The service operates daily from 08:00 to 22:00. Users can access assistance via the toll-free number 900 060 101.
