Extremadura Health Service offers 57 permanent medical positions

The Extremadura Health Service (SES) has announced 57 permanent medical positions across nine specialties and categories. Of these, 50 positions are for hospital specialties and seven are for Primary Care Emergency services.

The hospital specialty positions are distributed across the eight health areas of the region, with Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology leading with 13 positions, followed by Medical Oncology with eight. Other specialties include Dermatology, Preventive Medicine and Public Health, Microbiology and Parasitology, Angiology and Vascular Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Territorially, the distribution of the 50 specialist positions is concentrated in Cáceres with 16 posts, followed by Don Benito-Villanueva de la Serena with nine, and Badajoz with eight. These appointments follow competitive examinations conducted in December 2024.
