Extremadura missionary delegates hold interdiocesan meeting
Missionary delegates from the Extremadura dioceses of Coria-Cáceres, Mérida-Badajoz, and Plasencia held an interdiocesan day of reflection and missionary animation. The event focused on the upcoming 2026 Domund campaign, marking its centenary with the theme ‘One in Christ, united in mission’.
Bishop Eusebius Jelous Nyathi of the Diocese of Gokwe, Zimbabwe, attended the gathering. During the closing Eucharist, Bishop Nyathi emphasized the universal dimension of missionary work, stating that the announcement of the Gospel is a shared responsibility of the entire Church rather than an isolated task. He encouraged spiritual and material support for missionaries worldwide.
The program included a presentation of the Domund 2026 campaign and its dedicated website, a lecture by Father José Miguel González Martín on missionary identity, and a roundtable discussion featuring missionary testimonies.
