Extremadura teachers to receive salary supplement increase

Teachers in the subsidized education sector (enseñanza concertada) in Extremadura will receive a significant increase in their monthly salary supplements. The adjustment will result in approximately 900 euros in gross annual increases per teacher.

The raise consists of two components: the standard annual update of regional and state supplements and a previously committed 50-euro monthly increase. Specifically, teachers in Infant and Primary education will receive an additional 63.80 euros per month, while Secondary teachers will receive 63.20 euros more per month.

The regional Ministry of Education clarified that this is an annual update of remunerative supplements rather than a new salary agreement. The increases will have retroactive effects from January 1, 2026, with back payments expected to be processed in November or December.
