Extremadura to outsource ITV appointment management to social employment center
The Junta de Extremadura has authorized a contract worth an estimated 1.45 million euros to manage the telephone appointment system for public vehicle inspection stations (ITV) across the region. The service will be managed by a special employment center or an insertion company dedicated to facilitating labor market access for people with disabilities or those in situations of social exclusion.
The contract is expected to last an initial 24 months, with the possibility of a two-year extension. The service will cover ten public stations located in Badajoz, Cáceres, Coria, Mérida, Moraleja, Navalmoral de la Mata, Plasencia, Trujillo, Villanueva de la Serena, and Zafra.
To improve coordination and service organization, the system will offer two connected channels: a call center staffed by operators and a 24-hour online reservation platform. The telephone service will also provide information regarding the various inspection stations to assist users.
