Extreme Networks launches AI agent for enterprise networking

Extreme Networks has announced the general availability of Extreme Agent ONE Coworker, an AI-based agent designed for enterprise networking. Available to all Extreme Platform ONE customers worldwide via subscription, the tool aims to transition IT operations from reactive troubleshooting to proactive management.

The agent utilizes real-time network context, historical data, and reasoning to provide recommendations directly within workflows. According to the company, the solution can resolve network problems up to 15 times faster than traditional methods. It includes specific features such as a “Nudge” function to flag issues before they are reported, and conversational tools designed to reduce new engineer onboarding time by up to 50%.

Nabil Bukhari, CTO and President of AI at Extreme Networks, noted that the tool is built to understand the specific complexities of a customer’s unique network environment rather than relying on generic AI models. The release also addresses regional talent gaps and security concerns by providing visible reasoning behind its recommendations to build user trust.
