Extreme weather impacts Panama crops and Bolivia water supplies

Extreme weather patterns are impacting different regions in Panama and Bolivia. In the Ngäbe-Buglé comarca of Panama, intense rainfall and river overflows have created an emergency situation for several communities, affecting local crops.

Conversely, in the Northeast region of Bolivia, a prolonged drought has caused the Boba River to experience a significant decrease in water flow. This decline is causing concern among residents in communities such as La Malena, Guineal, Mata Bonita, La Gorda, Los Ranchos, and Los Gengibles, who rely on the river for domestic tasks and daily livelihoods.
