Extremist and political groups conduct security patrols in Vicenza and Treviso

Political and extremist groups in Italy are conducting organized night patrols, referred to as ‘security walks,’ in various regions. In Vicenza, the Movimento Italia Sociale (M.I.S.) held a walk in the San Felice district. Spokesperson Gian Luca Deghenghi stated the initiative aims to address urban security and citizen participation, citing a perceived failure of state institutions to control territory and prevent crime.

In Treviso, the neo-Nazi group White Live Matter (WLM) organized a similar patrol in the Sant'Angelo neighborhood. The group shared footage of the activity on Telegram, claiming to protect ‘native Italians’ against foreign immigration. This follows the appearance of supremacist stickers and flyers in the city.

Italian authorities, including the Carabinieri ROS and Digos, are monitoring these activities. Investigations into extremist propaganda have previously led to searches involving minors linked to groups such as the ‘Nuovo Ordine Europeo’ and the ‘Fronte Fascista Italiano.’ Local political leaders in Treviso have called for the mayor to involve the Prefect to prevent the spread of neo-Nazi influence.
