Exus Renewables acquires 715 MW solar projects in the US

Exus Renewables North America has acquired the rights to develop four large-scale solar projects in the United States from ibV Energy Partners. The projects, located in Louisiana and Wisconsin, have a combined capacity of 715 megawatts (MW).

The portfolio includes the Maple Grove Solar 1 and 2 projects in Barron County, Wisconsin, totaling 310 MW, as well as the 125 MW Bayou Teche Solar and 280 MW Bayou Chicot Solar projects in Louisiana. The facilities are designed to incorporate utility-scale battery backup systems to store solar energy.

Jim Spencer, CEO of Exus Renewables North America, noted that the projects are strategically located in regions where electricity demand is growing rapidly, driven by data center development and advanced manufacturing. The company is currently in discussions with potential customers, including large technology firms and local utilities, to supply the generated power. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
