Exxen Gym investigation leads to arrests and worker legal action

Authorities in Argentina have arrested two individuals, María Graciela Canal and Sergio Nicolás Clinis Canal, who were wanted via Interpol red notices. The pair surrendered voluntarily to migration officials at the San Ignacio de Loyola International Bridge in Clorinda. They are accused of involvement in an aggravated money laundering scheme investigated by the Federal Court of Resistencia.

This arrest brings the total number of detainees in the Exxen Gym investigation to five. The case involves a suspected criminal organization dedicated to habitual money laundering.

Meanwhile, employees of Exxen Gym are seeking legal recourse to recover their jobs following the closure of several branches due to the federal investigation. Legal representatives have met with Federal Judge Zunilda Niremperger to discuss the social impact on families without income. Lawyers are currently evaluating a strategy to request judicial intervention for specific operational locations in the Gran Resistencia area, which would allow them to function under court supervision while the criminal proceedings continue.
