ExxonMobil seeks suppliers for Guyana oil and gas training facility
ExxonMobil Guyana Limited (EMGL) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential suppliers for the management, operation, and technical training services of the Oil and Gas Training Facility in Port Mourant, Berbice.
The facility is a collaborative project involving EMGL, the Stabroek Block partners, and the Government of Guyana. It is designed to be the nation’s first oil and gas training institute, aimed at developing a skilled local workforce to support offshore operations. The curriculum will focus on four core technician disciplines: electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and controls, and process operations.
The campus-like structure includes classrooms, laboratories, workshops, a computer laboratory with simulators, and a functioning processing plant known as the Facility Simulator (FacTor). Ancillary facilities include an administration building and a dormitory capable of housing 105 students. The RFI seeks to assess market capability and does not guarantee a contract award. The deadline for responses is October 5, 2026.
