Exza Wankhongohm prepares for ONE Championship Muay Thai debut

Thai fighter Exza Wankhongohm is set to make his ONE Championship debut against Xavier Gonzalez in a flyweight Muay Thai bout at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on Friday, October 30. The match is part of The Inner Circle 36 event.

Exza, who holds a 60-15 professional record, expressed a desire to secure a performance bonus to help clear his parents' remaining debts. He noted that while the transition to three-round fights using four-ounce gloves is new, he is prepared to adapt his style. His planned strategy involves utilizing lateral movement and aggressive low kicks to counter Gonzalez, whom he described as a tough but relatively slow opponent.

Gonzalez enters the bout with seven ONE victories, including four knockouts. Despite the Spaniard's reputation for aggression, Exza stated that his excitement for the global stage outweighs any nerves regarding the increased level of competition.
