EY Hanyoung launches Center for Board Matters to enhance corporate governance
EY Hanyoung has launched the ‘Center for Board Matters’ (EY Hanyoung Future Governance Center), a dedicated organization designed to strengthen the oversight capabilities of boards of directors and audit committees in South Korea.
The center aims to help companies proactively respond to evolving regulatory environments and management risks. While traditional oversight focused on financial reporting and internal controls, the center will address emerging critical issues such as artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), data governance, and enterprise risk management (ERM).
To support these objectives, the center provides an integrated governance support system including research, practical education, expert networking, and advisory services. A key component is ‘BoardWise by EY Hanyoung,’ a digital education platform that offers training content, policy trends, and professional publications for board members.
EY Hanyoung also reported financial growth for the 2025 fiscal year, recording total revenue of 798.4 billion KRW and an operating profit of 18.1 billion KRW, representing year-on-year increases of 4.4% and 30.1% respectively.
