Eycore targets growing demand for SAR satellite radar technology
Eycore, a Warsaw-based space startup, anticipates significant revenue growth driven by the increasing demand for independent satellite intelligence in Europe. The company specializes in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology, which enables high-resolution imaging regardless of weather conditions, time of day, or light levels.
Tomasz Kusowski, co-founder and vice president of Eycore, noted that conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East have accelerated the shift toward sovereign space capabilities. He stated that the “peace dividend” Europe enjoyed for many years has ended, prompting governments to seek more flexible and independent observation systems.
Rather than building a full satellite constellation, Eycore intends to supply SAR systems to existing satellite platform manufacturers. The company is also involved in the CAMILA (Country Awareness Mission in Land Analysis) project, a Polish observation satellite constellation where Eycore is responsible for the SAR segment. Creotech Instruments serves as the general contractor for this project under the supervision of the European Space Agency.
