Eye Designer Lab launched to support beauty career paths

Tenpo Joho Service Co., Ltd. has launched ‘Eye Designer Lab’, a career media platform designed for hairdressers, eyelash artists, and beauty vocational students. The platform aims to provide information on utilizing hairdresser licenses for specialized eye-area roles, such as eyelash and eyebrow technicians, rather than limiting career paths strictly to traditional hair salons.

The initiative addresses high turnover rates in the beauty industry. According to a 2026 Recruit survey, only 43.6% of hairdresser license holders are currently working as hairdressers, with a 56.4% dormancy rate. Many new graduates report significant gaps in expectations regarding salary, working hours, and holidays.

Eye Designer Lab features 100 articles categorized for four distinct audiences: hairdressers, eyelash artists, beauty students, and general professionals. The site integrates educational content with job listings, including recruitment pages for KATE stage LASH locations across eight Japanese regions, including Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Aichi.
