Eynesil, Turkey house destroyed after four‑hour fire

A fire broke out in the early morning at a residence in Derebaşı Mahallesi, Camidüzü area of Eynesil district, Giresun Province, Turkey. The blaze originated in a coal storage (kömürlük) on the property of Makbule Kemal and quickly spread, engulfing the house.

Firefighters from the Eynesil Municipality responded after a neighbor’s 112 call and fought the flames for about four hours. The house was reduced to ashes and declared unusable, but no injuries or fatalities were reported. Residents experienced a brief period of panic before the fire was contained. The incident is under investigation by the gendarmerie and fire services to determine its cause.
