Göztepe defeats Eyüpspor 4-0 in Trendyol Süper Lig

In the Trendyol Süper Lig 7th week, Göztepe secured their first victory of the season with a dominant 4-0 away win against Eyüpspor. The match was heavily influenced by an early red card for Eyüpspor’s Ahmed Abdullahi in the 9th minute following a VAR review. Juan converted the resulting penalty in the 11th minute to give Göztepe the lead. Andre Henrique secured a hat-trick with goals in the 54th, 59th, and 75th minutes, bringing Göztepe's total points to 6.

Eyüpspor manager Mustafa Dalcı noted that playing with 10 men for 85 minutes made it difficult to maintain resistance, citing individual errors and penalties as decisive factors in the heavy defeat. Göztepe manager Stanimir Stoilov expressed satisfaction with the win, which ended a period of pressure on the players.

Other league developments include Galatasaray moving to the top of the table after a 3-1 win over Kasımpaşa, and Beşiktaş rising to second place. Additionally, VAR recordings from the Konyaspor-Başakşehir match were released by the TFF, clarifying the decision to overturn a penalty after a review by referee Batuhan Kolak.
