Eyüpspor coach Özhan Pulat outlines new tactical vision

Eyüpspor technical director Özhan Pulat has outlined the club’s strategic direction and preparations for the upcoming Süper Lig season. Pulat emphasized that the club’s management is focused on finding the ‘right’ players and solutions rather than pursuing the most expensive or famous options, a philosophy that has fostered strong unity between the technical staff and administration.

Following the departure of approximately 80 percent of last season’s squad, Pulat has spent significant time rebuilding the roster to match a specific tactical profile. He aims to implement a high-intensity, central-focused playing style characterized by quick reactions and disciplined defensive positioning. Pulat noted that the team has already reached about 75 percent of its intended tactical structure.

Looking ahead to the season opener against Beşiktaş, Pulat acknowledged the difficulty of the away match, stating, ‘We know our job is not easy against Beşiktaş.’ He maintained that the club is focused on realistic goals and building a sustainable project rather than chasing immediate league standings.
