ČEZ upgrades electric vehicle charging network in Úvaly
ČEZ is upgrading its charging network in the Central Bohemian Region through its futurego brand. In Úvaly, slow charging stations at a retail park have been replaced with ultra-fast chargers capable of delivering up to 320 kW.
The expansion is funded by the company's own investments and the Operational Program Transport. According to Rostislav Díža, director of electromobility at ČEZ, the company is prioritizing ultra-fast charging to accommodate newer electric vehicles with larger battery capacities. Data shows a 53 percent year-on-year increase in energy consumption at ultra-fast stations during the first half of the year.
The Central Bohemian Region currently leads in public charging volume within the ČEZ network, with customers consuming 1.8 million kWh of energy in the first half of the year.
