Ezekiel Atilola seeks financial assistance after turning to motorcycle riding

Veteran Yoruba actor Ezekiel Atilola, popularly known as Tombolo, is facing significant financial hardship and has turned to operating a commercial motorcycle (okada) to support his family. Nollywood actor Kunle Afod issued a public appeal for support after interviewing Atilola and sharing the details on Instagram.

Atilola, whose theatre career began in 1984, expressed a desire to produce his own film if financial backing becomes available. He noted the heavy burden of family responsibilities, stating he is the only son in his family and has struggled to find financial assistance. To fund his daughter’s polytechnic education, he recently sold his previous motorcycle.

His current motorcycle was acquired through an installment plan costing N1.5 million, for which he has been making weekly payments of N30,000 since January. Atilola previously gained public attention in 2023 when footage of him riding a commercial motorcycle went viral.
