Ezio Marchetti walks from Norway to South Africa
Ezio Marchetti, an Italian traveler, is currently on a multi-year walking journey titled ‘Destination Humans’. His goal is to travel on foot from northern Norway to South Africa, traversing Europe and Africa.
Marchetti has been walking for four months, covering approximately 30–40 kilometers daily. He uses a modified stroller instead of a backpack to sustain his pace. His primary motivation is not to set records, but to connect with people and highlight positive global developments that often go unnoticed in mainstream news.
During a two-day stop in Kaunas, Lithuania, Marchetti expressed a desire to return, noting that Nemunas Island and the ‘Science Island’ located there left a significant impression on him. His route through the Baltic states included traveling from Tallinn, Estonia, on foot.
