F-15EX Eagle II and F-15E Strike Eagle specs highlighted

The United States Air Force’s newest fighter, the F-15EX Eagle II, first flew on 2 February 2021 and the service has increased its order to 268 aircraft. The model features upgraded flight controls, an AESA radar, and an AMBER weapons system capable of carrying up to 22 air‑to‑air missiles. Its two Pratt & Whitney F100‑PW‑229 (or GE F110‑GE‑129) engines produce about 131 kN of thrust with afterburner.

The earlier F-15E Strike Eagle, introduced in 1989, remains in service with a two‑person crew, a length of 63 ft 9 in, a wingspan of 42 ft 10 in and a maximum speed of Mach 2.5. It can carry up to 23 000 lb of ordnance across 11 hardpoints, including AIM‑9, AIM‑120, JDAM, Paveway, AGM‑65, and AGM‑84 missiles. Its combat radius is roughly 790 mi and it can operate at a service ceiling of 60 000 ft.

Beyond the United States, the F-15EX has been ordered by Saudi Arabia (84 F‑15SA), Israel (25 F‑15IA) and Qatar (33 F‑15QA), extending the platform’s global presence.
