F-Gas regulations drive need for technician certification and equipment calibration
New European Union regulations (Regulation (EU) 2024/573) have updated the rules regarding the use of fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-Gas) in climate control technologies, such as air conditioning, heat pumps, and refrigeration systems. These regulations aim to progressively reduce the use of F-Gases and increase focus on alternative substances to mitigate global warming.
To comply with these standards, technicians and companies must possess specific training and certification to ensure correct equipment maintenance and emission containment. In response to these requirements, Confartigianato Imprese Bergamo, in collaboration with the training entity AFOR, is hosting ‘Taratura Day’ on November 11, 2026. This service allows companies specializing in F-Gas systems to have their technical instrumentation calibrated and certified quickly and cost-effectively at the Confartigianato offices in Bergamo.
