F1 25 receives major update and free trial weekend

Codemasters and Electronic Arts have released version 1.25 for the racing game F1 25, which includes a significant update for the 2026 season. The patch introduces the 2026 Formula 2 Championship, featuring all relevant cars and drivers, alongside visual updates and sponsor changes for the 2026 Formula 1 season.

Technical adjustments have been made to better reflect 2026 regulations, including a revised Boost Mode for wet conditions and specific throttle requirements for Straight Mode and DRS. The update also includes various bug fixes, such as correcting trackside barriers in Australia and adjusting steering wheel models for Red Bull and Franco Colapinto.

In conjunction with the update, a free trial weekend is scheduled for PC and Xbox players. On Steam, the free period begins September 10 at 17:00, while Xbox players can access it starting September 9 at 22:00. The offer concludes on September 14. Progress made during the free weekend can be carried over to the full version of the game. PlayStation 5 players are not included in this specific free weekend offer.
