F5 launches Workforce AI Security to manage employee AI activity

F5 has announced the upcoming availability of F5 Workforce AI Security, an agentless addition to its AI Security Platform. The tool is designed to provide enterprises with visibility and policy control over how employees interact with AI and the actions taken by AI agents on their behalf.

As employees increasingly delegate tasks to AI assistants and coding agents, these tools can access enterprise systems, manipulate data, and call tools using permissions granted by users. F5’s 2026 State of Application Strategy Report indicates that 66% of organizations already permit AI to automatically adjust policies and configurations.

The new solution applies intent-based guardrails within the network path to understand the context of AI interactions. This allows organizations to enforce policies and block risky actions—based on identity, access risk, and sensitive data exposure—before they occur, without requiring additional endpoint clients.
