FA Cup 2026-27 first qualifying round preview

The FA Cup 2026-27 first qualifying round features 88 clubs from Step Three of the Trident Leagues joining 136 clubs that advanced from the preliminary round. The round includes several debutant clubs, such as Dunstable FC and Fleetlands FC.

Several matchups are expected to result in clubs reaching new or equal best runs in the competition. Notably, the tie between North Ferriby and Barton Town, as well as Petts Wood versus Holmesdale against Windsor and Eton, will guarantee the winners reach a new FA Cup round milestone.

Twenty-one Step Five clubs face the challenge of playing against Step Three opposition. This includes Knowle FC, who will host Worcester City in a match scheduled for broadcast on BBC iPlayer.
