FABI union holds provincial congresses in Calabria and Messina
The Autonomous Federation of Italian Bankers (FABI) recently held provincial congresses in Reggio Calabria and Messina to address evolving challenges in the banking sector.
In Reggio Calabria, the 15th provincial congress took place in Saline Joniche, where Santo Catalano was reconfirmed as leader. The assembly focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on banking processes, professional profiles, and security, alongside traditional concerns regarding the maintenance of staff levels and the preservation of physical bank branches in peripheral areas.
In Messina, the 14th provincial congress resulted in the election of Massimo Pellegrino as Coordinating Secretary. Discussions in Messina centered on the renewal of the national collective bargaining agreement (CCNL) for the credit sector and the risks associated with bank mergers and acquisitions. Lando Maria Sileoni, the General Secretary of FABI, provided updates on national negotiations during the event.
