Fabian Drzyzga leads Stilon Gorzów to victory in Tauron Liga return

Fabian Drzyzga marked his return to the Polish Tauron Liga by leading Stilon Gorzów to a 3:2 victory over ChKS Chełm. The 36-year-old setter, a former mainstay of the Polish national team, was named the match MVP for his performance.

In the closely contested match, Stilon Gorzów relied on strong play from the wings, with Ilja Kowalow and Dawid Dulski each scoring 23 points. Drzyzga noted that while the team started poorly, their collective effort and tactical focus on the wings secured the win. He emphasized the importance of team depth and the contribution of every player, including substitutes, to building a successful collective.

Drzyzga’s return to Poland follows several seasons playing abroad for clubs including Fenerbahçe Medicana and Shanghai Bright. His performance in the opening round of the league serves as a significant comeback for the veteran setter.
