Fabian Hürzeler linked to Manchester United amid Carrick pressure

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick is facing increasing scrutiny following a difficult start to the season, having secured only two victories in his first ten matches across all competitions. While the club's hierarchy has not yet moved to replace him, analysts suggest that continued poor results could force INEOS to reconsider his position.

Gary Neville has emphasized that Carrick must secure a top-five finish to maintain momentum and justify the club's investment. With United struggling to keep clean sheets and facing early exits from domestic cups, the pressure to improve results in upcoming fixtures is mounting.

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Fabian Hürzeler has emerged as a potential successor. Hürzeler has led Brighton to a strong start in the Premier League, placing them third in the standings and demonstrating tactical flexibility and aggressive pressing. Alan Shearer has identified Hürzeler as a strong candidate for the role, noting the contrast between Brighton's successful model and United's current struggles.
