Fabian Köster Launches New German Quiz Show “Das Fifty-Fifty Quiz”
Comedian and satirical news reporter Fabian Köster, known from the ZDF programme heute‑show, will become the host of a new television quiz show titled “Das Fifty‑Fifty Quiz”. The series, based on the BBC’s “The Answer Run”, premieres on Sunday 2 August 2026 and will be aired weekly on NDR television and streamed on the ARD‑Mediathek. Each episode runs for 45 minutes and is scheduled for 22:45.
The launch episode features Oliver Welche and Lutz van der Horst, with future guests reported to include Michael Kessler, Laura Karasek, Bodo Wartke, Jens Riewa, Michael Thürnau and Zora Klipp. Köster, who also tours with stage programmes and co‑produces the podcast “Schlag und Fertig” with former footballer Jonas Hector, discussed the younger generation and the role of politics in the show’s interview segment.
