Fabian Ruiz discusses Ballon d'Or ambitions and recent titles

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz has expressed his interest in the Ballon d'Or while maintaining a reserved stance regarding media campaigns. Despite being one of the 30 nominees for the 2026 award, Ruiz noted that he prefers to let others lead the media push for the distinction rather than conducting his own campaign.

Ruiz highlighted his recent achievements, noting that he is the only player on the shortlist to have won both the Champions League and the World Cup in 2026 as a starter for both PSG and the Spanish national team. While he acknowledged his desire to win an individual title, he emphasized that he is satisfied with being recognized for his collective work and his status as one of the most decorated players in recent years.

The midfielder's comments come amid reports that PSG has focused its promotional efforts on teammates Ousmane Dembélé and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to avoid splitting votes among multiple nominees.
