Fabien Pailler wins historic Euro RX1 race at Lohéac

French driver Fabien Pailler secured a historic victory in the Euro RX1 category at the Lohéac Rallycross circuit during its 50th anniversary event. Pailler achieved a significant milestone by defeating eight-time world champion Johan Kristoffersson in the semi-finals before leading the final from the first corner to claim his first career FIA European Rallycross Championship win.

In the same event, Andreas Bakkerud finished second in the final, a result that moved him to the top of the championship standings with a one-point lead heading into the season finale in Lousada, Portugal. Juha Rytkönen secured third place after defending against pressure from Kristoffersson.

The weekend also saw success for other French drivers, including Julien Meunier winning in Euro RX3 and Damien Meunier winning in the French Championship.
