Fabián Gianola injured in vehicle accident in Buenos Aires
Argentine actor Fabián Gianola was struck by an Audi while crossing a pedestrian lane near the DOT shopping center in the Saavedra neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The impact caused Gianola to be thrown into the air, resulting in an exposed radius fracture and ligament damage in his wrist, along with various lacerations and bruises.
Following the accident, the driver remained at the scene to contact emergency services (SAME) and the police. Gianola was initially treated and later taken to a private medical center where his arm was immobilized with a cast. He is scheduled to undergo surgery at Sanatorio La Trinidad in San Isidro to have a metal plate and three screws inserted to stabilize the injury.
The accident has forced a temporary suspension of the theatrical production “Los 39 escalones,” which Gianola headlines. The actor expects a recovery period of approximately 45 days, including 30 days in a cast, and has indicated his intention to return to the stage as soon as possible.
