Fabián Ruiz targeted by Chelsea and linked to Barcelona transfer

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabián Ruiz is the subject of significant transfer interest ahead of the January window. Chelsea is reportedly preparing a substantial offer, with valuations ranging between €70 million and €90 million. The move is reportedly driven by interest from manager Xabi Alonso, who values the 30-year-old Spanish international's technical ability and experience in controlling match tempo.

In Spain, rumors have linked Ruiz to FC Barcelona as a potential replacement for players like Frenkie de Jong or Gavi. However, reports suggest that Barcelona midfielder Pedri has expressed opposition to the signing, citing concerns regarding tactical compatibility and competition for midfield roles.

Ruiz currently has a contract with PSG running until 2028. While he remains a key part of Luis Enrique’s squad, his desire to return to La Liga and interest from Premier League clubs could influence his future transfer prospects.
