Fabio Canino has announced his departure from the Rai 1 program ‘Ballando con le stelle’ after 17 years. The television personality clarified that his exit follows a disagreement regarding a production proposal.

Canino explained that the show offered him the opportunity to participate as a dancer for one year before returning to his role as a judge. He declined the offer, citing his commitments to theater and radio, noting that the daily rehearsal schedule required for the role was not feasible for him. He stated that because he could not accept the proposal, he no longer fit into the production’s new project.

Addressing rumors of tension, Canino expressed regret over the manner in which he announced his departure via social media. He admitted that his quick, informal announcement lacked a proper public thank you to host Milly Carlucci, who originally brought him onto the program nearly two decades ago. He characterized this as a mistake intended to make the transition ‘painless’ rather than a sign of conflict.
