Ballando con le Stelle announces new cast and jury changes
The upcoming season of the Italian dance competition ‘Ballando con le Stelle’ is seeing significant cast and jury changes. Longtime judge Fabio Canino has announced his departure after 17 years. Canino clarified that his exit was a personal choice after declining a biennial contract proposal that would have required him to participate as a contestant for one year before returning to the jury. He expressed that he did not feel it was right for the audience to see him transition from judge to competitor.
New contestants have been confirmed, including actress Monica Guerritore, who joins the cast following her recent battle with cancer, and Alberto Ravagnani, a former priest and social media influencer. Ravagnani is currently training in Thailand in martial arts to prepare for the physical demands of the show. Additionally, street dancers Pasquale Iannotta and Elisa Fava from Rome have publicly expressed their desire to join the competition.
The jury is also undergoing a transition, with rumors suggesting potential new members such as Barbara D’Urso and Alberto Matano, while Carolyn Smith remains a confirmed judge.
