Fabio Celestini appointed as Burnley manager

Fabio Celestini has been appointed as the new manager of Burnley Football Club, marking the start of a new era for the team following the departure of Nicky Hayen. Celestini, who has managed 377 matches with a 39% win rate, expressed pride in joining the club, describing it as an iconic institution in English football.

Celestini aims to implement a long-term project rather than seeking immediate, short-term results. He stated his desire to build something sustainable and win collectively with the squad. His appointment comes at a critical time for the club, which currently sits in 22nd place in the league standings.

The new manager faces significant challenges, including a difficult season characterized by defensive lapses and an increasing number of player injuries. The squad's availability remains uncertain ahead of their upcoming match against Portsmouth, as several players have recently been reported with injuries.
